Izmir is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in entrepreneurship and private equity. Growing up in Milan, Italy, Izmir is multilingual and possesses a Bachelor's degree in commerce and entrepreneurship from Curtin Business School. Izmir graduated in the top 1 percent of university and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society.

He has a proven track record of successfully securing funding for his own business ventures,  giving him a unique perspective and expertise when dealing with entrepreneurs and growth stage companies.

Having successfully sold his media company with a valuation of RM 80 million to a public listed company on Bursa Malaysia, Izmir has a  keen eye for identifying investment opportunities and a passion for helping businesses grow, Izmir has transitioned from entrepreneur to investor, using his experience to drive growth and profitability for his clients.

Since being a Director of Crewstone International in 2012, Izmir has facilitated and structured foreign direct investment projects into Malaysia worth over 1 billion Ringgit from multinational corporations such as Hershey’s,  Bosch, Samsung, St. Jude Medical, and Posco Steel via government incentives and investment packages working closely with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry and Malaysia Investment Development Authority.

Izmir leads the investment committee for Crewstone Bradbury Penjana Fund, a venture debt fund with the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and Bradbury Group (Hong Kong). The fund invests in regional investments for the benefit of knowledge transfer and economic growth for Malaysia.

Additionally Izmir has personally structured and lead the investment committees for the Crewstone Real Estate Fund, Crewstone Alpha Cambodia Fund and OYO hotels Microfiancing Program with Funding Societies, Crewstone China fund with an AUM of over 1.3 Billion Ringgit.
