Wong Keng Fai
Investment Director
Keng Fai, at the age of 29, is the youngest Investment Director at CSI, bringing nearly a decade of expertise in the financial services industry. He specializes in investments, strategy, and corporate finance. Keng Fai holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Melbourne. He is also a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Accountant (MICPA-CAANZ).
Beginning his career at Ernst & Young Malaysia (EY), Keng Fai gained valuable experience across banking, insurance, and asset management. His roles encompassed conducting extensive reviews of credit reports, actuarial valuations, and internal controls, supported by detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses.
Transitioning to Hong Leong Bank Berhad at the age of 25, Keng Fai assumed a managerial role within Corporate Finance & Investor Relations.
During his tenure, he spearheaded several multi-billion-dollar, high-stakes M&A projects and investment opportunities. He effectively led due diligence processes, performed extensive financial modeling, and conducted in-depth assessments of key business opportunities, risks, and synergies. Additionally, he actively assisted the senior management in strategizing and executing various bank-wide strategic initiatives.
Since joining CSI in 2023 as a Senior Manager in the Investments team, Keng Fai has advanced to the role of Investment Director by 2024. His current responsibilities include evaluating investments, formulating investment strategies, and maintaining rigorous post-investment monitoring. He actively engages external investors, providing strategic insights and analyses to support long-term investment objectives. As Investment Director, he leads CSI's investment team in managing various private funds and has successfully concluded multiple private equity and debt transactions.
Additionally, Keng Fai serves as a general partner for funds established by CSI, where he oversees investment risks, engages stakeholders, and directs financial planning across diverse portfolios. His career trajectory underscores a commitment to strategic leadership, meticulous financial management, and driving growth in the investment landscape.
